The historical view of divinity explains man and history by “god” or “God”,forming the salvation historical view of religious divinity. The historical view of humanitarianism,by toppling down the views of “divinity” and “God”,constructs a historical view of human nature. The historical view of materialism,by drawing “man” and “human nature” from the nonfigurative contemplating world into a “rough material world” and analyzing them in the realistic productive activity and social communication, finds (with the help of Feuerbach Philosophy) that it is the realistic productive and communicative activities, not the “God” and the nonfigurative “man” and “human nature”,that are constructing our realistic history.

By reflecting religious Confucianism,Du Weiming pointed out that the new research on Confucianism, with western discourse as its background,is to make Confucianism objective, and that the essence of Confucianism disappears in the binary distinction of subject and object. He gave up examining Confucianism religion from the ultimate existence angle, returned to human-being,sought the ultimate existent experience from the Confucianism, and proposed a unique cognition on Confucianism——genuine comprehension.A conclusion may be drawn that religious Confucianism is the affirmation and pursuit for ultimate existence.

In his work Foundation of the Metaphysics of Morals,Kant tries hard to provide the evidence that morality is probable to exist so as to acquire reasonable basis for the study. In his opinion, the theory of sensibility, which was put forward by Hume, goads morals to experience, thus it illustrates morals through empiricism. On the other hand,Kant has made adjustment to traditional rationalism ethics.Based on transcendentalism,he describes the foundation and principle of morality. In addition,Kant makes good effort to solve the problem between moral consciousness and moral practice, that is,the conflicts existed between empiricism and transcendentalism in morality. It is of great importance for our study in ethics how Kant demonstrated the problems in morality and the way he solved them.

A nation’s written symbols and culture can be reflected by the way that the “agreement” made between written symbols and oral tradition. The “agreement” between Chinese characters and oral tradition was packed with contradictions while the Greek letters and oral tradition was full of attraction. Chinese characters were not submissive to oral tradition, while the Greek letters were so close to oral tradition as musical notes to its songs. From the above two kinds of “agreement”: “contradiction” and “attraction”, it can be inferred that there existed two cultural orientations between China and the West, such as the different attitudes towards written symbols, different thinking modes and different highest ways to arrive at the truth.
