Creative Clusters:Basic Conceptions and International Practices

Abstract: Creative clusters are conglomerations of creative industries in special locations.There characteristics can be understood in four aspects:conglomerations,linkage,globalization and community.Examining their historical formation,creative clusters can be divided into three kinds:those conceived from the metropolises,those formed with the revitalization of the old industrial cities and those conducted by the governmental departments.Chinese cities should learn sufficiently the intrinsic rules of the creative clusters’ formation and development and absorb the experiences of the creative clusters overseas.
