Both Chinese Marxist aesthetics and Western Marxist aesthetics underwent a leap-over from epistemology to noumenon.Lukarche considers social existence as Marxist philosophic noumenon and in the light of which, discusses the artistic features of aesthetics. However,he leaves no space for the nature and makes no account for the natural beauty and the perceptual essence of aesthetics.Li Zehou names his noumenon anthropologic noumenon and puts aesthetic and art above human noumenon. But his dual supposition of “too noumenon” and “psychologic noumenon” makes his theory lose its unitarianism and leads to the disintegration of beauty and aesthetics.

By contrast with the left school of the philosophy of mind by Wang Yangming of the late Ming Dynasty, the Left School of Southern Chan refers to the chan school represented by the chan line of Qingyuan and Nanyue in the middle and late Tan Dynasty. The Bore doctrine is the spiritual philosophy of the Left School of Southern Chan.It is not only a way of thinking, but also a noumenon,a world outlook and a value conception.“Nothingness” is the “national chanting”,and “popular chanting” of the Bore philosophy. The gist of the Bore philosophy of the school lies in their cursing the Buddha,in their Buddhist allegorical words embodied in their odd acts of beating the pot or striking the earth, and in their exact and profound insight into life.

The theory of auspicious and disasterous signs can be traced to confucius, but it was Dong Zhongshu of the Western Han Dynasty who culminated it.Its theoretical basis is the idea of correspondence between man and nature.Confucianist divination which was popular is late Western Han Dynasty and prevalent in the whole of Eastern Han Dynasty was directly inherited from Dong's theory.By synthesizing various ancient diabolic tricks and wicked crafts,it gradually developed into the dominant official ideology. After the Wei and Jin Dynasties, the mainstream of confucianist divination developed in two directions:either absorbed by Taoism and Buddhism or spread through various channels among common people.

Husserl views the collapse of reason and philosophy crisis as the root of modern science crisis in Europe, and applies the method of phenomenological Epoché (detachment) to building up the so-called scientific philosophy;thereby he provides the philosophical cure for natural science on the basis of “life-world” which is established with pure reason. However,in this theory the revelations coexist with the drawbacks. To overcome the drawbacks,he should replace the intuition of “viewing” with the practical thinking mode and replace the method of phenomenology with the method of history and logic.

In the recent 20 years, moral degeneration has been a hot topic for argument. We hold that it is not appropriate to say that moral degeneration is the order of the day.For instance,in the field of political morality, there has been much progress. However,it is also true that public morality is getting ever worse, without the light of which,we cannot explain the current wide-spread corrupted phenomena.Today, the urgent job is not to describe and appraise the situation of moral crisis, but to find out the origin of civilization abnormality and moral corruption and seek an effective moral remedy. And it is in this point that the previous ethics, owing to its own thoretical black hole or blind spot, failed to give a solution, and the moral construction which advocated traditional virtues ended in faliure, which accelerated the situation of immorality. Therefore,to patch up the “black hole” and get out of the “blind spot”,and seek a reasonable way for the construction of public morality is the impending task of present-day ethics.

As a special social regulation, the essential purpose of moral reward&punishment is to promote social moral liberty. And liberty is essencially the organic unification between social moral order and the intrinsic moral charater of individuals. Thus, the intrinsic essence of moral reward&punishment is certainly revealed through two functions:1.social function, such as the function of preventing moral disobedience,of maintaining moral authority,of advocating moral integrity,of guiding moral oriemtation, and of ensuring social justice.2.individual function, such as the function of securing moral actions,of pushing forward moral recognition,of fostering moral sentiment,of upholding moral belief and of molding moral character.

We still face the same problems that our ancestors faced——problems of survival. We are still absolutely and finally dependent on the nature of this world in that we are still part of nature and our dependence on nature cannot be lessened by our technology nor can that technology ensure our survival. That will depend on one factor only——our success or failure in making man live in peace, showing goodwill to each other and harmonizing the relationship between man and nature. Therefore, social and cultural values are relevant to the study of sustainable developments.
