Abstract: This paper probes into the course of how Master Wang Chuansha pursued the profound learning of Yi (Yi:a classic work of the Zhou Dynasty(c.1100-256.B C.) namely,the book of Changes),discusses the features and characteristics of the master's Yi deas and reveals his position as the culmination of all previous researches of the third circle in the history of Yi learning.The master's belief in Yi originates from his understanding of the meaning of the Guan symbol.And the worship of symbols and the advocation of righteousness and reason make up the most striking characters of the master's Yi thought.The examination of Zhouyi and The Commentary and Subcommentary to the Anecdotes of Zhouyi are the two principal works of the master in pursuing the Yi learning;in The Story of Zhouyi,the master tries to seek fundamental philosophic theories and applies them to both human life and worldly affaris;The Interpretation of Zhouyi contains all his thought on social politics and moral principles;and in The Inside Story of Zhouyi,the master pints out that Yi is used by gentlemen rather than by small men.
