Abstract: The history of Chinese Communist Party's reference to international practices in reform comes through three stages:profound reflection on the historical lessons from the "Cultural Revolution",drawing on international practices in reform while carrying forward the party's own advantages,and advancing overall in-depth reform with domestic and international experience combined.The adaptation has three major theoretical qualities:seeking common ground while reserving differences,independence,and critical reflection.It is an integration of modest learning,transformation and innovation,and risk avoidance.The historical development and theoretical qualities of Chinese Communist Party 's reference to international experience in reform manifest:Chinese Communist Party is the top political leadership in drawing on international practices;The primary stage of socialism where China remains is the very foundation for seeking reference to international practices;Upholding and perfecting the socialist system with Chinese characteristics is the essential requirement for the international reference;and Marxist materialist dialectics is the fundamental method for the international reference.
