    Starting from the two old topics “artistic thinking” and “image thinking”, this article tries to reveal the connotation of artistic thinking which is much extensive than that of image thinking. And on this basis, the article puts forward some tentative ideas for setting up a philosophy of artistic thinking. The article expounds on the acquisition of the nature of matter from five levels: direct perceiving sense, abs tract logic, emotional will, priori cognition and cultural signs, and describes the process of this acquisition. Finally, the article concludes that the nature of artistic thinking is personified thinking.

    Buddhacarita was written by Indian poet Asvaghosa in 100 A. D. It influenced the Indian literature for a long time.After it was translated into Chinese in the Six Dynasties,  it produced positive influence upon Chinese literature. Some Chinese scholars had written articles on it, such as ChenYinque,Qian Zhongshu, Ji Xianlin and Rao Zongyi.This article analyses its connotion , structure and artistic features, especially the relationship between Buddhacarita and Chinese Li terature.

    For a long period, people held that Li Bai died in the first year of Baoying of Emperor Daizong of the Tang Dynasty. In 1983 Mr. Li Congjun first posed that Li Bai did not die in the f irst year of Baoying. Based on an analysis on Li Yangbing's “Preface to Cottage Collections”, Li Hua’s “Epi taph for the LateMember of the Imperial Acade” my Li Jun, and Li Bai's  Self Recommendation to Prime Minister Zong, this paper puts forward that Li Bai did not die in the first year of Baoying, but in the first year of Yongtai of Emperor Daizong.

    This article inquires into the cause of the formation of the Image of the willow during the Six Dynasties from five angles: the Book of Songs, folk custom, homonym, thewidespread planting of willow and the unique expression of willow, and examines the image of willow in this period from the following aspects: departing and leaving, lovesickness, homesickness, time consciousness etc. Finally, it recounts briefly the influence of the Six Dynasties poetry on the creation of the Tang Dynastys' poetry.

    With reference to the Tang Dynas typoems of heptasyllabic quatrair, people hold Li Bai and Wang Changling in esteem. As a matter of fact, Li Shangyin showed originality in her poems and formed her own unique artistic characteristic in the later period of Tang Dynasty. Her poems are at once graceful, elegant, fluent and touching with suble satire and deep implication. Compared with Li and Wang, she is by no means inferior in literary at tainments.

    This article holds that the ferryboat in the novel A Small Town on the Borde rland serves not only as a symbol, but also as an image of a certain prototype. As the bearer leading to the other side of the world, it corresponds to the narration of the plot in this story. And through the vivid port rayal in this novel,  it embodies the prototype of a certain culture: the culture of honesty and goodness, in which an imperfection is indicated with the employment of the image of a ferryboat. In this sense, the novel gives a netaphyical character to the ferryboat , thus revealing the natural state of human existence.

    This paper expounds on the trend of development of editorial information on the basis of documental data and by means of analysis and prediction and discusses its future prospect from the angle of theory and practice. The paper points out that future development of editorial information mainly depends on such high- tech as internet, data bank and multimedium. In view of the gap between the development of editorial information of our country and that of the advanced countries, the paper proposes that the information source be reasonably exploited, editorial and publishing network and data bank be set up and the research on basic theory and applying technology be strengthened.
