Abstract: The “distinction” nature of youth culture decides its co-operation with consumerism in the context of a consumer society.However,China’s education and mediation leads the youth culture into a post-colonist situation.Under the pressure of power from western countries,youth culture of modern China shows the characteristics of global imagination and imitation.
