Abstract: Minyue Ethnic Group is an ancient ethic group living mainly in Fujian Province.Centering on Minjiang River basin,their range of activities also covers areas of southern Zhejiang Province,northeastern Jiangxi Province and eastern Guangdong Province today.As an ethic group,it is formed in Shang and Zhou Dynasties,and since the Eastern Zhou Dynasty,it has mixed with the south-moving Yue descendants,forming the Minyue Ethnic Group,the most representative ancestors in Fujian Province.The most splendid culture of Minyue Ethnic Group is in the Minyue Kingdom period set during the Qin and Han Dynasties,and the word Minyue has developed from tribe to region and to title of a reigning dynasty.
