Abstract: Modern society which loses its internal mechanism of self-reflection and self-criticism makes a profound crisis of utopian thinking.“spatial revolution” and the unification of space as a globalized territory,caused by “the great geographical discovery”,have completely broken the space of utopian imagination.The present scarcity of utopia which represents a spirit of eternal transcendence,can be explained from three aspects,that is,the human enslaved psychology、the cultural context of “the end of history”、the deviation of their original role of political power structure.In all,in virtue of modernity abandoning significance and value,it becomes the most persuasive reason for its banishing utopia significance and value.
