Abstract: The cinematic representation of factory spaces in realistic-themed TV dramas reflects the profound interplay between China's industrial transformation during the period of social transition and the reconstruction of cultural memory. In terms of signifying paradigms, the visual portrayal of factory spaces exhibits a duality:it highlights the achievements of modernization through grand industrial landscapes, while simultaneously examining the alienation brought by technological advancement through intimate depictions of everyday survival. This dialectical expression constitutes a cultural reflection on industrial civilization in contemporary society. From a narrative perspective, the visual grammar of factory spaces has shifted from collective production eulogies to critical reflections on modernity, and worker portrayals have evolved from idealized contributors to agents of technological innovation, mirroring deep transformations in labor ethics and social values.Within the media-mediated co-construction of cultural memory, factory spaces integrate individual experiences with collective symbols, tightly linking personal destinies to broader social history through the power of imagery, thereby forming a distinctive cultural memory landscape.Through selective encoding of nostalgia, media translation of social trauma, and critical demystification of technological rationality,realistic-themed TV dramas help alleviate the historical pains of industrialization and offer cultural references for exploring more human-centered developmental paths in the future.By taking factory spaces as an entry point and examining the interplay between culturalmemories and signifying practice, these dramas not only document the complex trajectory of China's industrialization, but also actively participate in shaping contemporary social consciousness through the re-production of cultural memory. They thus demonstrate their unique value as enduring emotional media in the inscription and reconstruction of factory-based cultural memory.
