摘要：自由在中国古代思想传统中一直被视为一个否定、消极的概念而始终得不到肯定。在漫长的封建社会里，自由与礼教文明牢牢的捆绑在一起，直到19世纪末20世纪初，在接触到西方政治文明时，自由才逐渐被当作一种肯定性的精神价值为国人所关注。自由在中国传统思想里经历了被否定——被认可——被呼唤——被误解的艰难过程，这个过程是与国人思维与我国社会历史发展同步的，即使到现在，我们对自由的理解仍需要不断拓展。

Abstract: Freedom was a concept implying negative in ancient Chinese ideology.In the long feudal society,it was tightly bound with ethical code until the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century when it touched western political civilization and was gradually noticed as a positive spiritual value.It has undergone a process of being negative-acceptabe-called-mistaken in Chinese traditional ideology,a process which was in step with the way of thinking and the social development.Even now,our understanding to freedom still needs to be widened.
