Abstract: During the new period of social transformation,social contradictions in the rural areas are obvious with the acceleration of social structural transformation.In some ethnic and mountainous areas where economic base is relatively poor and the speed of development is slow,the traditional pattern of social governance is no longer suitable for social needs,thus it is urgent to give reforms to social governance.To realize the goal,the rural social governance system and pattern should be innovated,the government organizations,social organizations and market organizations should be synthetically combined,the subject consciousness of village self-governance should be strengthened,and the society should be stabilized and developed safely and harmoniously.The practice of “happy village” in Zigui,a county in Wuling Mountainous Areas,has formed an effective pattern of rural social governance.This pattern is of great significance and guiding function in the rural social governance in Wuling Mountainous Areas,thus it deserves our deep analysis,summary,and perfection after field investigation.
