The relationship between normative ethics and virtue ethics has been a focus incontemporary academic circles.Normative ethics is the fundamental frame for the moral life in modern society;however,virtue ethics has been gradually marginalized.Since normative ethics is desperately supported by virtue ethics,it is important to unite the two.And morality preference might serve as a bridge between them.

Alienations of labor right and labor obligation are two important aspects of immoral alienated labor,and they are also the two ethic dimensions for Marx to examine mine disaster in capital society.According to Marx,thedeficiency of miners’ labor right,especially the deficiency of the rights of health and security,is the essence of mine disaster.Causes for mine disaster also include capitalists’ unfair treatment to the miners and the capitalist government’s nonfeasance.Marxism though of mine disaster enlightens that it is essential to overcome alienated labor so as to prevent mine disaster.Perfecting machinery equipment,positively developing large-scale coal groups,strengthening security and democratic construction,and clearing away immoral coal capital are important measures.

From the perspectives of subject orientation and domain orientation of the essence of freedom,Mao Zedong had deeply thought about the core issue of the view of freedom,that is,the essence of freedom,and had put forward his unique view that “freedom is the recognition of inevitability and the transformation of the object world”.Logically,Mao’s view of the essence of freedom is represented in three aspects:freedom is the combination of recognition of inevitability and the transformation of the object world;the transformation of the world overweighs the recognition of inevitability;and the effect of transforming the world overweighs transforming the world.Back to Mao’s era,the major content of freedom was just what he had stressed:national independence,national autonomy and the people's liberation.

The division ofempirical notion and intellectual notion has confused people’s understanding on Aristotle’s eudaemonism.The dilemma actually comes from methodological empiricism.The key note in Nicomachean Ethics is to discuss how eudaimonia life we live in empirical world can reach the metaphysical area by our phronesis.It is phronesis notion that provides Aristotle’s eudaemonism the metaphysical foundation.Modern moral philosophers highly value the ability of phronesis which connects the empiric and priori.Kant repeated Aristotle’s phronesis notion in argument of moral judgment,which offered a firm support for his devotion to the foundation of moral metaphysics.

Research on the relationship between science and morality has always been the focus of debate among scholars,because the research areas and methods are very different.Some scholars believe that these two will not have any intersection.In fact,the essential characteristics of moral attitude have demonstrated its testability.Empirical research method is a good tool to study moral attitude.The main ways to measure moral attitude are scales,interviews,and behavioral observation.The reliability of measurement can be improved by scientifically designed questionnaire and scale,and bogus pipeline technique,using various methods.

There are different borders and levelsof justice.As the base of global ethics,global justice constitutes the highest level of justice.The possibility of global justice lies in the value choice in the globalization process,economic globalization and the globalization of human living conditions.As a kind of higher-order and super-state ethics,global justice is different from state justice,whose value orientation is cosmopolitanism and people-focused.Global justice has to fulfill warfare justice,distributive justice and environmental justice.To realize global justice,it is necessary to adhere to the principles of relative sovereignty,universal human rights and global responsibility,and to build up a kind of World System mixed together with Eastern and Western political wisdom and a “World Government” as well.In addition,it is necessary to give full play to the effect of all kinds of world organizations.

Normative ethics and virtue ethics are important contents in ethic theory and realistic moral life.The relationship between the two is of an organic whole with two sides,which is mutually needed,mutually supported,and mutually separated,mutually changed,and it is also of function and value.Besides the content at the logic level,the realistic relationship between the two contains another specific aspect,that is,the function and value relationship between them should be presented in a dynamic and dual way in the historical development.

Setting moral models is an important means in moral construction,which mainly has three functions:of modeling,motivating and inheriting.However,moral models are now in dilemma,and the reasons are listed below:(1)Value pluralism has eroded the ideological basis of the moral models,(2)Inappropriate measures in publicizing process has weakened the nobility and infectivity of moral models,and (3)Deficiency of social insurance system for related rights and interests has made the function of moral models unable to sustain.To rid this dilemma,we need to establish and perfect a modern moral system,improve the process of setting and publicizing of the moral models,and strengthen social insurance system for related rights and interests.

In the modern society,the imbalanced climate signifies the worsening security and health of human beings in the universe environment.In order to save ourselves,we must focus on the ethics studies of climate and set up a new ethics cognitive system.The imbalanced climate resulted in the disaster and diseases which in turn aggravated the climate.The fundamental reason is the infinite activities carried out by the human beings on earth.So we must restrain the human activities and establish a harmonious coexistence between human and nature.And based on this,we should also follow the eco rules;establish the eco-interest system for the international cooperation of emission reduction.It is the premise to resume the balanced climate,resolve the disaster and reestablish the world and ecoenvironment.

The basic way on how morality ego promotes extrovertly and practices its value lies in how to deal with and harmonize the relation between the other and I thence morality ego proves and realizes its value in both the contact relationships and social life.It was basic contacting mode between the other and I which people advocate spirits such as benevolence,loyalty-forgiveness as well putting one in the place of another to realize harmonious interpersonal relations in both Chinese traditional ethics thought and real life.Intimate relation between other and I is paid attention and talked by modern theorists such as Adam Smith's moral sentiments theory,I-You relationship theory of Feuerbach as well theory about “the other” in vision of phenomenology which are reasonable explain about the value of relationship between other and I.External values of morality ego between the other and I in contemporary era embody such as harmonizing and respecting each other,unifying the emotion and the rationality,as it also carries forward humanitarianism universal fraternity thought.

By referring to the basic framework of virtue ethics,we’ll reflect upon the notion of “no worries for benevolent person” and specify the image of morality behaviors and their inner heart.Based on the concerning literature review,through the progressive analysis on “not the worries for benevolent person”,“no worries for benevolent person” and “worries for benevolent person”,we believe that “no worries for benevolent person” is only possible when beyond the life and broad living meanings.By the same token,the benevolent people have to face the choice of lofty levels and real actions unavoidably.Study on “no worries for benevolent person” can not only solidify the features of some ethnics but also enrich the interpretive resources for Chinese tradition.

“Self” in Confucius is not only a follower but also an issuer of courtesy.According to Kant’s term in ethics,self in Confucius means to set the law for them.However,due to the fact that Kant denied the intuition of intellect,the concept of “set the law for themselves” can not be realized.While scholars on Confucius actualize this notion by their recognition of the fact that human’s heart is competent and potential in understanding.Thereby,respecting ourselves is a process of perfecting our morality in a dynamic and creative way.This also distinguished the self in Confucius from the self in liberty and Kant’s ethics.

Xiaoren(flunky),Shi(official),Junzi(man of honor) and Shengren(saint) are the basic types of Confucian moral personality.The four are living at different levels in terms of wisdom,morality,realm and value.Xiaoren is a wicked person,and he is just the opposite personality of Junzi.Junzi,the most important bearer of Confucian ethics,is the core of Confucian moral personality.Shi,the best candidate for Junz,is the beginner of morality.Both Shi and Junzi are the Confucian ideal personalities.The reasons to create Junzi and Shengren are different.The former is for the observation of the practical difficulty of moral cultivation,and the latter is for the consideration of the endless process of moral cultivation.

The ethics of law is an interdisciplinary subject which studies law based on ethics and morality.The method of law or ethics alone is insufficient for a complete study of ethics as a whole.Therefore,the paradigm,a more ambitious concept,should be introduced.Through the inspection of the relationship between law and morality,as well as law itself,3 paradigms of law ethics could be concluded:question paradigm,ideals and practice paradigm.Even though paradigms are in three different emphases,they constituted a researching paradigm of law Ethics.

Virtue ethics and normative ethics emphasize the different aspects of moral.The theory of virtue emphasizes what kind of people a person should be.The theory of norms emphasizes what a person should do and how to do.From the relationship between human and moral,moral itself contains the dimension of virtue and the dimension of norms within.The significance of the dimension of virtue is fundamental and ontological,that is,moral makes a human being become a man but not an animal,and it helps to achieve,realize and perfect people's value and meaning,which mainly embodies in the internal quality of man.The dimension of norms refers that moral norms can restrain and discipline people so as to maintain the social order and human existence,which is exemplified in concrete social moral norms.The two dimensions of morality are the two side of an object which are complementary to each other.It will lead to one-sided understanding of moral if we only emphasize on one and neglect the other.

Moral dualism has clarified the structure of human initial moral-consciousness which has also offered its interpretation to our moral life.However,the fierce conflict between individual virtue and social morality in western society shows the predicament of moral dualism.The main defect of moral dualism lies in its metaphysical base.With the concept of practice,Marx found his morals in sense of ontology,which not only finds a critique on moral dualism,but offers some great inspirations to the transformation of today’s western moral philosophy as well.

The Confucius ethics of loyalty and filial piety are based on lineal consanguinity of loving beloved and respecting the respectable.The ancient Chinese society was thus organized as an isomorphism mode of family and nation,with a well organized social structure and conduct regulations,which shaped the great and particular character of Chinese nation.With great change of the times and social circumstances,the regulative objects and function of Confucius ethical spirit shall be transformed creatively,namely from the single dimension of loyalty and filial piety to multi-dimensional social objects,from the unselfish sacrifice of feelings to multilevel obligations and responsibilities of the subject,which will achieve new achievements in the new times.This is the heritage and confirmation of our traditional ethical spirit,and improvement of the current imperfect morality as well.

Ethical implication of Wang Fuzhi’s Qian Hexagram (the symbol of modesty) is mainly embodied in two aspects:from the Xiaoxiang hexagram in the Qian Hexagrams,that is,the position of Line statement of “Jiusan” in the Qian Hexagrams,it can properly explain why the Qian hexagrams contains modesty of moral rational;from the reasonable distribution system of “increasing wealth to the poor and taking out the rich’s superfluous wealth”in the Daxiang hexagram,it can properly account for the deep reason of ethical implication of Wang fuzhi’s Qian Hexagrams.Obviously,the Qian Hexagrams has its modern practical value in contemporary society.

Social assistance system is related to the redistribution of social wealth,and therefore it is related to state responsibility inevitably.State responsibility for social assistance system is a complicated modern political ethics problem.The responsibility subject of social assistance system has experienced three basic stages as a whole,namely stage of personal liability,transitory stage and stage of state responsibility.The legitimacy of state responsibility for social assistance system is firstly derived from the public nature of state,and secondly from the value appeal of distributive justice.The limitation of state responsibility for social assistance system is probably decided by ethical tension of civil society and the state,the plurality of responsibility subject of social assistance system and moral hazard of social assistance system.

The voluntary service is organized by volunteers of NGO (non-governmental-organization) for the purpose of enhancing social morality,without material reward or compensation.It has many ethical characteristics such as voluntary,publicly benefited and nonprofit.The specific ethical attributes determine that it will play an outstanding role in developing morality cognition,enriching moral sentiments,strengthening moral responsibility and enhancing moral capability.

An orderly international relationship is the first requirement to realize global justice.Though the standards for justice may be gained through moral deduction,they are only effective within the sovereignties.No matter starting from justice conception of cosmopolitism or that of politics,global justice claims global sovereignty.The most possible path leading to certain global justice is to produce a global injustice power structure accepted by the strong nations in the world.The path from disorder to justice should be unjust,which is essentially Hobbesim.

The ethics of epidemic diseases,namely,a subject dealing with contemporary existential crisis,evolves from the ethical reflection upon the ultimate human issues that cause frequent epidemic diseases.The ethics of epidemic diseases should help mankind to resume a rational ecological lifestyle;thus,it might be a bridge leading to a harmonious future world between man and nature.This new ethics should provide an ethical propose for the prevention and treatment of the epidemic diseases and for the following reconstruction.Therefore,to construct the ethics of epidemic disease,we must examine its surviving background,ethical target,cognition vision,and research approaches first.
