On Confucius Ethics of “Loyalty and Filial Piety” and Its Reality

Abstract: The Confucius ethics of loyalty and filial piety are based on lineal consanguinity of loving beloved and respecting the respectable.The ancient Chinese society was thus organized as an isomorphism mode of family and nation,with a well organized social structure and conduct regulations,which shaped the great and particular character of Chinese nation.With great change of the times and social circumstances,the regulative objects and function of Confucius ethical spirit shall be transformed creatively,namely from the single dimension of loyalty and filial piety to multi-dimensional social objects,from the unselfish sacrifice of feelings to multilevel obligations and responsibilities of the subject,which will achieve new achievements in the new times.This is the heritage and confirmation of our traditional ethical spirit,and improvement of the current imperfect morality as well.
