Abstract: To foster a strong sense of community of Chinese nation is not only a political requirement,but also an ethical demand,which contains deep ethical values.It is a huge systematic project to foster a strong sense of community of Chinese nation in the new era,which needs not only to explore its solid foundation from the social source of ethical values,but also to implement these ethical values in specific social practice.Exploring the ethical basis for fostering the sense of community of Chinese nation is a new attempt to enrich the national theory in the new era,which aims to perfect the socialist national theory with Chinese characteristics in terms of ethical value,ethical spirit and ethical path.Symbiosis,friendliness and unity,as the ethical value of the community of Chinese nation,play a guiding role; inclusivism,mutual assistance and respect,as the ethical spirit,play a supporting role; and responsibility and development,as the ethical path,have specific practical functions.
