Abstract: Mao Zedong Thought realized the first historic leap of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times,guiding the Party to lead the people to make great achievements in the new democratic revolution,socialist revolution and socialist construction.The theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics realized the second historic leap,guiding the Party to lead the people in making great achievements inthe reform,opening up,and socialist modernization.Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era realized the third historical leap,guiding the Party to lead the people in making great achievements of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.The history of great theoretical innovation deeply enlightens us that in the new era,to strengthen the Party's overall leadership and continue to adapt Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of our times,we must integrate Marxism with China's specific realities and China's fine traditional culture.We must maintain a global vision,adopt a problem-oriented approach,and apply systems thinking.We must adhere to the unity of Party spirit and people-centeredness,the unity of upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground,and the unity of self-revolution and social revolution.We must maintain self-confidence and stand on our own feet,and grasp and make good use of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,including its standpoint,viewpoint and methodology.In this way,we will surely win a bright future in the historical evolution and competition of the two doctrines and two systems.
