Abstract: The “Books of Han” encompasses the novels from Pre-Qin period and Han dynasty.The novels from Pre-Qin period were the new development and formality of the literature within that period,as a special register.The two types of novel reflect the two ways for the novel to precede and transform within that period,symbolizing the changes of mystery and supernatural novels.Novel from that book have two layers of meanings.One is from register perspective.Another is with modernized meanings.The combined features of the novels inside not only hide the true characteristics of the novels from Pre-Qin period but also blurred the real origin of modern novel.In addition,novels from the “Books of Han”,despite its origin from the novels from Pre-Qin period,mainly focus on the civil discussion during that time,which signified the differences between the two kinds of novels.
