Abstract: The present research investigated 299 English major students from Tongren University,Guizhou Province,in terms of knowing about their English reading strategy employment.T-test results indicate that students did not use reading strategies frequently in reading.There is no significant difference existing for strategy use between male students and female students,advanced group and basic group.This paper puts forward certain instruction on teaching based on the results of the study.
