Abstract: In 1844 Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts,1857—1858 Economic Manuscripts and Das Kapital,Marx thought that money in nature was the product of man,the subject of human nature, and the materialized form, representing nothing but social connection in labor exchange. However, money fetishism turned purpose into means, deprived the value of all things, distorted man’s feeling and need, and made it the inner drive of social development.Marx’s critical theory on money has no doubt strong realistic enlightenment in the increasingly mature market economy.

Key words: the nature of money, money fetishism, criticism on money
