Abstract: Though both belong to the western educational mode and are highly developed, the educational systems in Holland and Finland are different and represent different characteristics. The former somewhat represents the educational mode of western Europe, while the latter represents that of northern Europe. A comparison of the educational system between them may help us to better understand the educational situation in the western developed countries and to borrow useful experiences for the educational reform in our country.
