Libai’s Pride:Flower-dappled Horse and Invaluable Fur

Abstract: Li Bai once had served the emperor for a short period of time.Being good at writing,he had won favor of Emperor Hsuan Tsung of the Tang Dynasty,and was allowed to ride the Emperor’s horse and bestowed with the Emperor’s furs.This anecdote was what he took pride for in his afterlife.The Emperor’s fur,especially,becomes the symbol when later generations praise him.
