Augustus and the Early Urbanization of Roman Empire

Abstract: The rise and development of urbanization in Roman Empire during the Augustus age was,on the one hand,the heritage and expansion of the ancient urbanization since Hellenistic times,and on the other hand,related to various kinds of reform of Augustan.Therefore,urbanization of Roman Empire during the Augustus age is the double results of historical heritage and mature objective condition.It not only created and spread the civilization of Roman Empire,but also of Europe and of the world.
