Abstract: Identity in human speech sounds,writing system,emotion and mode of thinking lays the foundation for translation.While the differences in phonetics,grammar,vocabulary and culture make translation difficult.To do translation well,firstly,translator must handle literal and free translation according to the content and stylistic features of the original work and the background of the target readers.Secondly,in teaching and learning,proficiencies—listening,speaking,reading,writing and translating must be developed simultaneously,and translation theory must be studied.Thirdly,practice in interpretation and writeen translation must be done to enhance perceptual and rational knowledge respectively.
