Abstract: Today,there are two major crises in the world.The one is the eco-crisis resulted from the intensification of the contradiction between man and nature,the other is the social crisis resulted from the intensification of various contradictions between men.The confucian ethics of China is one of the precocious cultures of the world.It is productive though not without negative factors.Some of its important thinkings are still of significance to the solution of the two major crises in contemporary society.These thinkings include the universal feelings of “People are my brothers and I share the life of all creatures”,the life outlook of “cementing peaceful relations by upholding good faith”,the danger-proof consciousness of “being vigilant and reasonable in all times”,and the ideal of “permanent social peace”.
