Abstract: The procedure of translation is largely one of understanding and expressing in a suitable way. The translator's cognition has much to do with the exact understanding of the original language, and with the correct judgment of the authors intention. Moreover, the target language readers cultural background and knowledge structure should be taken into consideration. Only in this way, can the target language translation text go hand in hand with the cognition of the author of the original language. Therefore, the translator's cognition level is of much significance in the translation practice.
