Solutions on Ethnic Traditional Livelihoods and Disastrous Rocky Desertification Changes:Taking Bunu Yao People in Duan,Guangxi as an Example

Abstract: Each ethnic group’s living environment is specified to adapt into various living environment.Meanwhile,each ethnic group has its special means of traditional living strategies.Bunu Yao people have been living on the Karst mount area for over a long period in Duan.This area with shallow and thin soils and low water resources storage capacity is selective about choosing plant’s species components.When facing the fragile ecosystem,from Bunu Yao people’s long period livelihoods,they have made their own ethnic group’s life be continued by developing and utilizing its ecological knowledge and skills which can be adapted into the nature.Thus,this ethnic group can keep developing.Meanwhile,with the ecological wisdom and technical skills,it can control rocky desertification,which can help to resolve the structural defects in the living environment and turn the worse living environment of humans’ to a valuable and changeable homeland.This fact is enough to suggest that Bulu Yao can effectively harness this catastrophic which is viewed as the “land cancer” by people.
