Abstract: The collection standard of "Zashi" in Wenxuan is not out of title or "miscellaneous".Its implicit stylistic connotation is categorized based on the paradigm of the "Nineteen Ancient Poems".This is a different compilation method from Yutaixinyong,Yiwenleiju,and Beitangshuchao which put "zashi" as poem titles or,merely as a means of compilation.It is through the internal logic of the categories and the collection of works in Wenxuan that Xiao Tong shows his consciousness of distinguishing literature styles and his understanding of the development of literature.Thus,the establishment and the influence of the "Nineteen Ancient Poems",as is prioritized in Wenxuan.
