Abstract: Square dance symbolizes that the individual private life is expanding to public space,spontaneously forming public organization based on individual demand.Under the background of family nucleation and individual rising,square dance is not only a kind of body-building movement for the dancers to carry on body display and individual aesthetic pursuit,but also a way for them to find their own positionin square space and realize their identity pursuit of living for themselves.With public attributes,square dance has not formed a closed public life,and it has appeared the double public life of "clasping" and "finding friends" within the group,the former reflecting the inner circle interaction and the latter showing that the individuals hope to construct a sense of group belonging through the interaction between subjects.In general,square dance depicts a loose and open public community life,highlighting the public turn of private life and realizing the effective connection between individual private life and public space.
