摘要/Abstract

摘要：现代大学服务社会是大学三大功能之一的发挥，但如何找准其着力点，对于许多高校特别是地方高校来说，是一个解决的现实问题，解决这一问题就能找到地方高校不可替代的社会价值和功能，并形成办学特色。本文以湖南吉首大学办学实践为例，对地方高校的使命、作为和特色培育等做一粗浅探讨。

Abstract: One of the three functions of a modern university is to serve society. However,how to find the exerting point is a realistic problem for many universities,especially for those local universities. If the problem is solved,the local universities will find their irreplaceable social values and functions and form their unique characteristics in running universities. Taking a case study in Jishou University,this paper explores into the missions,functions,and unique characteristics of local colleges and universities.
