摘要：林语堂在启蒙运动退潮后定居美国时,提出用快乐哲学概括中国人的生活哲学。快乐哲学深受西方哲学尤其是伊壁鸠鲁和尼采愉快哲学的影响,但它根植于孔老哲学等传统文化之中,并从这个源泉里吸取养分。快乐哲学有四大特征: 1.人类的一切快乐属于感觉。2.合理近情的生活理想。3.重生活艺术,反功利主义。4.聪慧的醒悟是快乐的前提。

Abstract: It was af ter his migration to America with the receding tide of the enl ightenment movement that Lin Yu -tang interpreted the Chinese people's life philosophy as merry philosophy.Obviously it is deeply influenced by western hilosophy , especially by Epicurus' and Nietsche's philosophy.However it is rooted in the traditional Chinese culture.his paper describes the four characteristics of merry philosophy: 1. Men's happiness lays in sensation. 2. Reasonable aturalism is a disirable type of life. 3. Stress art of life and oppose utilitarialism. 4. Awakening is the prerequisi te to appiness.
