Abstract: Confucius viewpoint on poetry has always been a controversial issue.Traditional researchers are accustomed to understanding his viewpoint from the perspectives of  “Xing” ( enlightenment) “guan”( cognition) , “qun”( in spiration) and “yuan”( criticism) . Actually, there are much more implications in confucius viewpoint on poetry than the above said four concepts. For instance，“speech” in his There is no speech without learning poetry. is worth paying attention to, which frequently appears in The Analect s of Confucius and is of much aethetic value.
