Abstract: From the angle of civil memory,this paper tries to discuss the three forms of civil memory,namely written documents,oral dissemination and custom.it also puts attention to four elements,namely the natural scenery,historical cultural heritage,historical figure and vital historical event.Through the analysis of these factors,this paper probes into the extensive and integrative characteristics and their impact on national identity and national harmonious psychology with the purpose of defining the cultural value of civil memory – the universal value of cultural diversity and unique value for this ancient city to be listed into the world cultural heritage.
