Abstract: In China,the incomes of grain growers face multiple challenges,including singular and unstable revenue sources,declining proportion in total earnings,uneven economic development in major grain-producing areas,and an inadequate mechanism for compensating major grain-producing areas between producing and marketing regions.To address these issues,governments at all levels should optimize macro-control policies for grain production,strengthen regulation of grain circulation markets and prices,and enhance agricultural insurance and subsidies to reduce risks and ensure basic income protection for grain growers.Furthermore,efforts should focus on developing secondary processing of grain,implementing regional development strategies,improving agricultural credit and financial services,and strengthening farmer cooperatives to boost confidence and increase income of grain growers.Additionally,vertical economic compensation policies within major grain-producing areas should be refined,with strengthened policy support and improved agricultural insurance systems.The development of training programs for "new farmers" will cultivate professional growers,providing policy and talent support for grain production growth.Finally,improving the inter-provincial mechanism for compensating major grain-producing areas,advancing both compensation and linkage mechanisms,and establishing a sound legal guarantee system will promote positive interaction between income of grain growers and compensation for major grain-producing areas.
