On the Auxiliary Verbs of the Tujia Language

Abstract: Auxiliary verbs are those that indicate possibility,willingness,and need.Auxiliary verbs of the Tujia language all have their corresponding negative forms,most of which possess the grammatical category of perfective aspect.They can only take verbal objects and can not form the structure of “…bu (negative)…”and “bu…bu”.Neither can they answer questions individually.Their function and usage are different from the Yi language,a branch of Tibetan-Burman language family.
