Abstract: Regional knowledge refers to the folk knowledge of a given nationality, whose usage is refined to a particular region.Scienfic researches in a general sense may touch this kind of knowledge, but they seldom take it as their main object, whereas, cultural anthropology and ecologic anthropology pay close attention to it and devote themselves to its excavation and reorganization. This kind of research is apt to be misunderstood and cviticized,as a result,it is often difficult to protect and make full use of it.This article tries to cite some typical instances of regional knowledge, expounding on its particular value in ecological protection,so as to reaffirm eco-anthropologist  attention to the reg
ional knowledge.
