The Artistic Space Structure of Huang Yongyu's Lotus Painting

Abstract: Fond of and famous for painting lotus flowers,HuangYongyu enjoys an elegant nickname of "Lotus Crazy".In the lotus painting,he constructs a unique artistic space.First,he paints lotus flowers to escape the troubles and political disputes.Based on the "hiding" logic and taking aesthetics as his dominant principle,Huang Yongyu has created an artistic space in his lotus painting,which is alienated from daily life.Second,his lotus painting has transcended personal emotional expression,pointing out a direction for the nation to find its root,which forms the foundation for the interaction between images and words in his lotus painting.The intertextual structure of images and words creates a unique artistic space,making his lotus painting a unique existence in the history of contemporary art in China.
