Abstract: Globalization is a heateddiscussed topic nowadays. However, people have an immense understanding of its connotation.Quite a few people wrongly regard it as a spring tide which swept around the whole globe, destroying longcherished tradition and heading for the trend of convergence of all mankind. In fact, every nation's culture is by no means stagnant, but a quasiorganism with selforganizing capacity.Every nation can adapt to the impact brought by globalization, continuing its excellent tradition and preserving its cultural boom by way of metabolism. Therefore, instead of being an obstacle, globalization merely plays a role of partly altering the outer environment of national tradition. In the context of globalization, the world we perceive is still a multicultural one, with every nation's tradition coexisting and steadily continuing.
Key words: globalization, national culture, heritage, development
