Literature of “February 28” Incident:The Important Turning Point in Post-war Taiwan Literature

Abstract: Literature of “February 28” Incident (incident in February 28,1947) promptly recorded the true reality in post-war Taiwan,presenting the conflict between mass people’s desire to become masters of the country and the monocracy of Kuomintang government.It was led by left-wing literary thought,which was deeply rooted in Taiwan and corresponded with the revolutionary situation in the mainland.However,it was characterized by conscious and explicit local structure,whose influence was seen in later literature development.Literature of “February 28” Incident reflected the heavy literature setback in Taiwan after the Second World War,yet it was an important turning point in Taiwan Literature.
