Abstract: Traditional agricultural knowledge is a comprehensive system such as a set of technology,intelligence,knack,and methods created by people over long-term productive practice.It is related to agriculture and is descended from generation to generation.By field investigation in the two villages of Honglie and Longqiao,it is found that traditional agricultural knowledge of the Tujia nationality possesses important modern value,which is seen to have explicit economic value,to make up for the deficiency of modern technology,and to provide knowledge specimens and material for modern natural science.This modern value gives us inspiration to reflect the tradition and modernity of knowledge.
