Abstract: The rise of mass culture is an important token of modernity.Modern aesthetics,starting from different visual threshold,covers two features of modernity and post-modernity of aesthetics.This paper discusses three attitudes of modern aesthetics toward mass culture,represented by Adorno,Shusterman,and Jauss,whose theories are analyzed in a detailed way respectively.
