Abstract: Phenomenology studies “pure conscious phenomenon”,but this “pure conscious phenomenon” is an intentional object against the dual antithetical thought in traditional western metaphysics. The idea of intentional object is subjective and idealistic in philosophical ontology;however, when it is used to analyze and appreciate literary works,it reveals the aesthetic subjectivity of literary activities and creates a literary theory in which the subject and object are united.
Key words: phenomenology, intentional object, literary thought
