Abstract: China has a long history of culture and art,and the ethnic minority art on music and dance is the gem of it.The universities located in minority-inhabited regions should not only cultivate art talents,but also carry on the task to pass on and develop ethnic minority art.This paper sums up the teaching practice of music and dance in Jishou University,hoping to provide some enlightenment in order to inherit and develop national folk art.
