Abstract: The selection of euphemism is a dynamic process,in which the communicator is constantly searching for the relevant linguistic context and adapting himself/herself to it.The communicator’s presumption of relevance decides his/her choices of the styles.Based on the relevance-adaptation model,the further study on euphemism is helpful for us to better understand and use natural languages.
