Abstract: The differences of the various schools of thoughts and their exponents during the period from pre-Qin times to the early years of the Han Dynasty do not lie in their advocacies, for they are all autocracism affirmers;nor do they lie in their historical conditions, for they all regard that autocracism should be conducted under any historical conditions,i.e.they are consistent autocracism supporters beyond history.Their differences lie in the ways of autocracy:should it be a benevolent, open and kind one,or should it be overbearing, wild, and evil? Based on this, autocracism in China can be classified into two kinds:the permanent and open autocracism represented by the Confucian school, and the permanent and evil one presented by the Legalists school.

Key words: autocracy, autocracism, permanent autocracism, temporary autocracism, open autocracism, evil autocracism
