Abstract: Based on fieldwork,this paper illustrates the tourist development in Laodong Village,a model village set by Hunan province and Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture in the New Rural Construction.Its successful experience may provide reference for other ethnic areas in the New Rural Construction.
