The Laws of Alfred and the Change of British Society

Abstract: The research on The Laws of Alfred is still blank in our country.The period of The Laws of Alfred forms an important phase in British society from a primitive one to a civilized one,and from non-class society to class society.The Laws of Alfred reflects social situation before the British Kingdom was united.Through the research of The Laws of Alfred,we may get a glimpse of the feudalism of the Anglo-Saxon people,and better understand the scientific exposition of Marx and Engles on feudal social state.
