Abstract: Since modern times,there have been considerable influential celebrities in the west of Hunan Province,whose activities have a close relationship with many important events in modern times.Zheng Guohong,who is among the first group of national heroes in modern times,is from the beautiful small town of Fenghuang.It is significant to research those influential celebrities of modern times in the Xiangxi area,for it can broaden the view in researching modern history,reinforce the research of local historical documents,and serve local tourist industry and social development.
