Abstract: The orient societies widely underwent a process of modernization in modern times. This process was mixed with the struggle against imperialism, colonialism and feudalism. In the later half of the 20th,these societies were faced with the shock of globalization. Thus,“local” became a standpoint for the orient writers to show their culture, literature, and even political attitude. They opened the curtain of local literature by “leaving’ and “criticizing” local places, followed by a self-conscious period of “local criticism” and “returning to “local places”.After the recognition of “local” and “mother land”,as well as the literature creation of “new local literature”,they began a journey to seek their root, and “local” was given cultural criticism and aesthetic value.
