Abstract: Cultural implications of narrative pattern are rich.In the modern narrative novel,there are three noticeable phenomena— the abnormal transformed perspective,the trend of individuality of narrator and Utopian narration,which indicate some traits and trends of Chinese society and culture from 1840 to 1919 during the process of changing from the traditional to the modern.
