Abstract: The Miao national minority filed flower is the representative of western Hunan Miao people’s paper-cut art.Its aesthetic characteristics are quite different from those of the common paper-cut art.Besides the differences of the subjects of creation and the actual uses,the aesthetic significance of Miao nationality’s filed flower is the poetic presentation of life,expressing common people’s pursuing of “ good fortune”,“wealth”,“long living” and “happiness”.As the physical carrier of the folk belief,Miao nationality’s filed flower realizes the surpassing of the common view by conducting the communication and conversation between human beings and gods,and conveying people’s best and wholehearted wishes to the folk gods.
